Surprise!

Today was such a pleasant surprise. Colt was taken off of the CPAP and put on the nasal cannula. The circles on his face are little sticky patches that hold the nasal prongs on his face. So he's off of the big bulky air machine. Very exciting news....so now we can see his sweet face. They are trying him out on this new machine that just has an oxygen flow for him, and will watch him to see how he tolerates it. In 7 days or so he will get his first immunizations...can you believe it will be two months next week? He'll probably get some blood on Monday- Toby said he looked a little pale so they'll do that for him Monday. They also may discontinue the blood gas tests if he continues to do well on the nasal cannula. He weighed in at 2 1/2lbs today! It looks like for now he gets to stay at Children's hospital, two of his neighbors get to go home tomorrow so there is room if any new babies need to show up.
