More weekend fun!

Colt and his buddy Daniel hanging out in the toddler chairs!

Checking out his new pool hat, I am desperately trying to get him used the whole hat wearing thing.

Kelsey performed at the Fiesta Day Cotillion show, here she is with her "date."

Colt "almost" made it through the parade, but not quite.

Memorial Parade

We walked in the memorial parade this weekend with Coldwell Banker, and Colt joined in on the action!

He looks excited doesn't he???

More fun at Grammie's

I am abusing my mom this weekend while we're moving....so Colt will be happily spending most of the weekend with her so we can get the dreaded packing and moving over with! He's happy as a clam to go to Grammie's, in fact, he cries when we leave!

New Tricks

We're working on "SO BIG"....so far we can get that response about half of the time :)

But you can always count on him for a scrunchie face.

And knuckles are always a good trick too!
He taught himself a trick that I am not so excited about....climbing up on the couch. No clue how to get down, in fact head first seems to be his first choice on the way down. But he is so proud of himself for getting up there and he even tries (successfully unfortunately) to get to the very top of the couch and sit up there. Greeeeeeaaaaat. I no sooner turned around for a second today and he was sitting at the very top of the couch, I need eyes in the back of my head.

Sunday Fun-Day

Sunday is Colt's fun day at Grammie and Papa's house. He's a little fish so now that the weather is HOT HOT HOT, they spend the day swimming. He loves every minute of it!

I took him to Loma Linda yesterday to get an occupational therapy evaluation done to see if he needs that form of therapy as well for fine motor skills. They said he does not need it at this point but will see him in 3 months. They want him to work out some of the balance issues and get walking before we address any fine motor issues, if they are present in 3 months.

So easy to forget.....

It's so easy to forget what a little miracle he is while he's throwing a temper tantrum. I had a tough mommy week last week, with Colt's new independence testing my patience. We're packing to move so on top of moving stress my little one has become pretty needy. If he can't see me, he's crying. Oh boy.

So during my irritated state this evening I decided to bust out my laptop and check on some of my favorite blogs. I saw on one that a tiny little miracle went to heaven this week, who was 3 months early and weighed 1 pound one ounce. My heart breaks for that family, and I immediately feel so guilty for forgetting how lucky I am to be going through this "difficult" stage in my little man's attitude. It's so hard not to take it for granted.

Happy Birthday Bryan!

For our pal Bryan's birthday, we went out to Ponte for some lunch! We had a great time with our friends.

A quick family photo!

Colt just learned how to give knuckles! So cute!

Uh Oh, terrible two's are coming early!

He looks like he's enjoying this, right?!

He REALLY enjoyed this though. We went out for our friend Bryan's birthday last night. Colt, the angel that he's always been, has been replaced by a high-maintanence almost 2 year old. Yikes! No more easy restaurant meals for us.

A dirty look on the swing...ha! Actually I think he's squinting from hating the bright light....but will he wear shades? No!

This kid knows what he wants, and boy-oh-boy is he gonna get it!

Big Boy

Here's Colt trying to feed himself some avocado at Grammie's house this weekend!

Colt had a "vacation" at Grammie's this weekend while Mom and Dad had a kidless vacation of their own to Mammoth Lakes. He had a blast, and of course, didnt't want to go home either!

Busy, Busy Week

The locks were raging out of control so I had to take matters into my own hands. Colt's 2nd haircut (and it wasn't THAT bad of a job) done by me.

Grandma Margaret bought Colt this awesome paino, which he really likes. In fact, I think everyone in the house has given it a shot too. He really loves to press the keys and he'll sit alone and play- so cute.

Very intense look, right?
Colt had his well check-up today. He still is on the skinny side, around 10th perecentile for weight and 80th for height. He has yet another ear infection, which I had no clue about. So because he's had 3 or 4 in a few months, we may have to go see the ENT doc soon to get the tonsils and adenoids checked. They may need to be removed because he's started a little snoring now, so she wants to make sure he doesn't have sleep apnea because of how large the tonsils look. Fun stuff! More doctors, woohoo! We've got like 8 appointments this week and next so we're running around like crazy! Next week we'll hear about what to expect and when his eye surgery will take place.

Sleepy

This has NEVER happened when I am with Colt, but Kreg had him for the afternoon and he just goes and falls asleep in the middle of the living room.

Yep, he just decided he was done.

Amidst the toys, he just went to sleep.

Colt's New Chair

Here is Colt's new fire truck chair! He looks like such a big boy sitting in it!

The chair is pretty nice for those times when you wanna sit back and relax!

And you can fold it out and really get comfy on it!

It came with a mini fire truck, which Colt really likes- can you tell?
