Though I hope to never need it, we had a CPR class at our house last night given what happened last week. My buddy Erin's mom is an instructor so she offered to teach us baby and adult CPR.

Back to Himself Again
You know he's feeling better when he's back to his antics of pulling ALL of his toys out of his toy chest.

His fever is ALMOST all gone, still a little higher than normal but he's feeling better attitude wise. He did break out in the telltale Roseola rash yesterday so at least we know what it was. I was never so happy to see a rash in all my life. Thursday, March 26, 2009
Trip to the Neuro
But first some cute pictures......
We went to our home away from home yesterday, Children's hospital. It was oddly comforting to go back, we hadn't been back since we were discharged. We stopped by the NICU to say hi to Tabitha and a few other nurses. Most of our nurses weren't working, but we got to see Tabitha which is always awesome.

Parenting: Not for Sissies
Colt loves this book (thank you Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Allen). It's his favorite, he goes and gets it by himself and opens it and turns the pages all by himself!
Little monster gave us the scare of our lives yesterday in the wee hours of the morning. At 4am I heard a weird little hum coming from the baby monitor, and I looked in the video screen and saw his little leg twitching. I knew immediately that something was wrong and went running for his room, to find him having a seizure. Kreg and I in the midst of freaking out, called 911 and waited for what seemed like 5 hours (and was only probably 6 minutes) for the ambulance to come. By the time they got there, he was out of the seizure but a little non responsive and confused. He was at least crying which meant he was breathing :) He had stopped breathing for a few seconds during the seizure so we had a major freak out. He's almost back to himself now, and after many tests yesterday they've ruled it to be Roseola. It's an infant illness that is a viral infection with no other symptoms but a fast high fever spike with a rash at the end of the fever. No rash yet...but the fever just seems to be breaking today. I am taking him to Children's Hospital tomorrow, so maybe we'll feel better with a 2nd opinion. He's his active self now, so my worries are easing as we speak.

Seriously, Mom?!?
How excited does he look to be trying on his bunny ears???
Next week we have an appointment down at Children's hospital, and it will be the first time we've been back since he was discharged in January last year. So we're planning to stop by the NICU to show everyone how big and cute this little monster is :)

Summer came early...
Summer decided to show up in March this year, so we headed to the beach to soak up the sun with Auntie Deir.

I Can't Get Enough Of This........
I hope that I'm not losing my mind, but I just think this is down right hilarious. Hopefully, I'm not the only one who gets a kick out of this. That's my mom making "meow" noises to him :)
God love him for loving everything about animals, especially their sounds.

Sandy Hands
This was Colt's first experience with sand. He's been to the beach and played there, but this was his first "let loose" in the sand. He wasn't too sure what to think, I thought it was so cute to watch him try to get going but he couldn't get past how weird it felt!
