We're playing the summer away so far...park, swimming, and playtime galore. We had the Kordick kids today so we had all kinds of fun today!

Eyeball Update

We went to the new eye doctor today in OC and he was really nice...we liked him a lot. He agreed a lot with the doctor we visited in LA. He did say that we could schedule the surgery soon to correct the Strabismus (crossing) so we'll probably line that up in the next few months. He'll see him one more time and then we'll know the plan!

Colt's 1st Trip to Sea World

We ventured off to Sea World yesterday for Colt's first trip...here he is waiting for the Dolphin show to start! He was a trooper for being up so late.

Good Report

Another cute photo.....

We made the trek to Children's hospital again today for our High Risk Infant Clinic which follows his development post-NICU. We see the same Nurse Practitioner each time so she has a good feel for where he's been. She was thrilled at his progress, and said she was amazed at how well he's doing. He tested almost to his REAL age for cognitive skills. (I was sooooo excited about that). He's a little behind in Fine Motor (15 months) and a little further behind in gross motor (13 months) because he is not walking yet. But because he's doing so well, we were cleared for a year!

Sneak Preview

We had some family photos taken this weekend by a friend of mine who was down from Arizona who I haven't seen in awhile! It was fun to capture some pictures out in nature.

Long Day at Children's

Here's Colt today while zonked out at Children's hospital getting the dreaded EEG done. I have been dreading this appointment since March but thankfully it's over now. Colt was only allowed to sleep 4-5 hours last night which meant I had to keep him up until 11 or 12. We made it to 11pm, since his normal bedtime is 7 sharp :) I had to wake him at 5, give him his last meal and then he wasn't allowed to eat from 6am until after his appointment which ended up being 4 this afternoon. He's been all out of sorts this afternoon.....I thought he'd be itching to go to bed, but he turned into the energizer bunny this afternoon and just wouldn't calm down for bed!

He doesn't look tired does he? This was on the way to the hospital...he was so tired he alternated this face and crying off and on. Delirious.

The EEg was done because of the seizure he had back in March and the brain bleed at birth. They are checking to make sure there are no abnormalities going on. We won't know until Monday or so what the results are. We did stop by the NICU while there, our old home. We got to see a few more familiar faces which was really nice.

Camera-less

I returned my camera so my posts may slow up for now.....not too much to report. Little monster starts swimming lessons tomorrow, so that should be interesting!

Soooooo Busy

Ahhhh, the dreaded toddler tantrum. We're becoming pretty familiar with it these days. This one was because the toy wouldn't open for him.

But this one did, so he seemed pleased with himself.

And then he offered it to the dog, who wasn't too enthusiastic about it either. God love my sweet, patient dogs who put up with so much from Colt. One day Colt will repay them with fetch.

But Grammie can always make this little guy happy, we think she has magical powers. (or she lets him have his way).

Thankfully, to balance it all out, he's pretty damn cute (I do realize I am biased, but you're gonna have to deal with it).

Teepee time!

Exploring his new digs....I finally put together his teepee and tent that he got for Christmas. Our last living room was too small so I saved it for the new house. I filled them both with balls too!

He's pretty excited about his new toy!

He loves to throw balls (or pretty much anything)...maybe he'll be a pitcher!
