This is a video Kreg took yesterday....he stayed home with Colt in the morning so I could go see "Sex and the City" the movie. Colt usually naps during that time, so I figured it would be pretty easy for Kreg. Colt had a different plan I guess, he woke up after 20 minutes and then decided he was hating life for a few hours. He gave Kreg a pretty nice patience test I guess! He took a video to show me when I got home so he would have proof :)

Sing Along
This is a cute little video of Colt trying to sing along with my mom.......he was really doing it well before I got the camera out. I swear he sees it and just stops being the showboat that he normally is. Grandma watched Colt today and a little this evening so we could go to Kelsey's open house at school. Smarty pants big sister Kelsey got rave reviews from her teacher, so we're all very proud of her.
Something fun for stay at home moms......I read on this other blog I check that salary.com somehow came to the conclusion that the salary of a stay at home mom (if there were to be one) would be something like $134,000 a year. I have no idea where they figured that out, but I thought it was funny!

It Fits!
Sushi (our dog) found out that a fine place to steal food is right off of the baby's face, and I would have stopped him but Colt really thought it was funny!
The letterman jacket fits! Pretty darn cute huh?
Tornadoes....Are you kidding me?
Weird weather eh? I hope it doesn't put a damper on everyone's Memorial weekend plans. We stayed in all day and just chilled out. Colt's teacher came and played with him, and as soon as she left he was crashed out. Play hard, sleep hard. He was a great mood while she was here, so we really pushed him on his exercises. His neck is definitely getting stronger!
We hope everyone has a SAFE and happy Memorial Day.

Colt's New Favorite
This horse is Colt's new favorite toy. I have never seen him squeeze anything so tightly. I gave it to him while we went on a walk the last three days and he squeezes it the entire walk, it's so cute! We went out to dinner last night and Colt gave me a little scare. I put his car seat in the little high chair thing and pushed it up to the table next to me. Next thing I know, I see the high chair and car seat tipping backwards (I did catch it right away thank god)....the little booger had gotten his feet up against the table and pushed off backwards. His new trick has been pushing against anything his feet touch and trying to stand while you're holding him, so I guess I should have known better but yikes!!! Let the games begin, right?

Chatty
The top picture is just about my favorite picture of him from a few weeks ago, I just remembered to get it off of my phone!
Colt is a good listener these days....he likes to be chatted up while sitting in your arms! He got his first taste of sweet potatoes this evening and loved every minute of it!!
Today is our third wedding anniversary, so we had a nice day being lazy and hanging out together!

Out and About
Colt came out into the world a few times this weekend: we went to Costco, then he went to go show a house with me, and then to Islands for dinner yesterday. He did pretty good, but I can tell that he's a little overwhelmed with all the sounds and things going on around him. His eyes were HUGE at Costco, and he managed to stay happy for about 1/2 of the trip. Dinner wasn't so successful, mainly because it is his fussy time of day anyway and he skipped his afternoon nap (and the restaurant is kind of loud). So he wasn't that much fun at dinner. And a random stranger reached over me and into his car seat, so I didn't really appreciate that either.
I think we'll just try short trips here and there to get him used to being out. He's been so accustomed to our environment and routine, that it probably is a little weird for him. I am just guessing :)
This little video is him rolling over, which he is doing more and more everyday. I saw him going for it so by the time I flicked the camera on he was about over!

Messy Boy
Colt has just discovered how much fun it is to put his hands in his mouth while he's eating, and then rub it all over a one foot radius. It's making feeding time loads of fun, and laundry time quite difficult! Kelsey fed Colt his carrots and he made a nice big mess! I even found carrots crammed up his nose.

This HOT already????
Colt likes to look at his new picture book that has cool photos of himself and family!
If you didn't get the memo, summer is apparently here. YUCK! It is supposed to be 105 degrees tomorrow which sounds like a lot of fun.

Chuckles
Colt was laughing at his toys on the bouncy chair.....of course he stopped when the camera came out but he gets going after a bit........
We saw the pediatrician today and his weight is 13 1/2 lbs according to her scale, and 25 inches long. He's at least on the curve for his adjusted age, and she said he's average height and weight for his 3 1/2 month adjusted age. For his birth age he isn't quite there yet, but she said at the rate he's going- he will be caught up by his first bday. She was okay with us venturing out into the world now.....she just told me to be super cautious around kids mainly until school is out since they pass stuff around at school, be crazy with the hand-washing still, and try not to let anyone touch him if they haven't washed their hands (and stay far away from sick people). That part on hand touching has proved rather difficult, as it seems people are attracted to baby hands. So I just have to be careful and wash his hands a million times a day while we're out and about.
He rolled over on his own this evening!!

Chick Magnet
One of my favorite shirts....I love this one! Tomorrow we're moving on into the orange vegetables: carrots, squash and sweet potatoes (one at a time). Man it takes forever to get through all of these vegetables when you only do one a week. It feels like the fruits are so far away!
For those of you that would help me out with something, I'd like to ask for some prayers for my friend whose twins are in the NICU. They are having tummy troubles and are anxiously awaiting news from the doctors on whether or not they will have to operate on her son. It breaks my heart to watch a friend go through this, so if you can pray for them- it would be much appreciated! Pray that the stomach issue can be resolved with antibiotics and that if they do need surgery, that it will be successful!

Green Beans and Physical Therapy
We went to physical therapy and we had excellent news. His PT said we're just about to get discharged it looks like, and not need to go anymore. He's caught up to his adjusted age (not the birth age yet) and is a little ahead in a few things for his adjusted age. That means he is starting to catch up to his birth age!! We will see her in a month for a follow-up, but she said after that she doesn't see any reason for us to go! Woohoo!!!

Colt's New Favorite Place
Colt has a new found interest in this rainforest chair.....he's finally old enough to appreciate toys, so the noises this thing makes and the lights keep him entertained for awhile. He lets out a few laughs here and there while enjoying the bird noises.

Laughter
Colt laughed out loud! He's made little noises before but this one was a true laugh. This video was of course a few minutes too late as usual but I still thought it was cute. His teacher visited today and she said his neck control is getting much better! We see the physical therapist this week so that will be the true test to see if she thinks he has improved. He "tracked" this blue ball she brought over all the way around in a circle above his head, and was focusing really well. So that is good news that he is seeing, at least up close. His vision far away isn't that great yet, but we will be seeing the eye doc in a month and we sorta knew it was possible that he'd be either near or far-sighted. Maybe he'll be neither! I don't know how far a 3 month baby should be seeing. He's 7 months old today (by his birth age) and 3 months 1 week by his adjusted age.
Tomorrow is National Nurse Day.....Nurses are the best!!!!
