Fun Times with Grammie

Chillin' out in the beautiful HOT weather we had this weekend at Grammie's house.

Colt has learned how to play fetch with my mom's sweet dog Maggie.

She waits patiently for him to throw the ball, then she comes right back and drops it for him. He really likes that game, we'll have to video it soon.

Tomorrow is Kreg's graduation from the academy, so we're very excited and proud of all of his hardwork!

Playtime

Colt had a playdate with his pal Zeke today. They had a lot of fun, so much fun that Colt looked like this later that day. He was pooped out from all the toddler fun.

All in all, it was a fun time!!

His Very Own Ball House

In an effort to keep Colt busy long enough for me to bake cookies, I tried to let him play in his own "ball house" that I created out of his pack-n-play.

He actually really enjoys it! He spent awhile throwing each and every ball out of the ball house, my living room was covered. But hey, it kept him occupied and he had fun doing it!

The Walker Toy

Here's one video of the walker toy he's figured out! He did great at therapy today, she had him on the treadmill (I know that sounds really odd) and he just walked the session away! And then was asleep within seconds in the car because he worked so hard!

Rude Awakening

Poor Kreg is so tired on the weekends that he tries to rest as much as possible since he works so hard at the academy during the week. So here he is trying to catch some Z's and two little monsters are intent on ruining that nap.

And just when I thought he was "just looking" he reaches out and slaps him right in the face, whoops.

So Colt decided today would be the day to learn how to use his little push-walker toy alone. I have been pushing behind him for a month, but today he crawled over, stood up, and took off walking- ALL BY HIMSELF! He did it a bunch of times today, so I was pretty jazzed about that. He's getting more and more brave...so it shouldn't be long until he takes off! I'll video it tomorrow. It's hard to video and be close enough to make sure he doesn't smash his face :)

Chocolate Makes Everything Better

He's getting 7 teeth at one time, poor guy! He's been running a low grade fever for 3 or 4 days now so I took him in just in case it wasn't teething. But he seems happy enough, well at least while he's munching on chocolate!

Off to the Beach

With Kels on spring break this week, we decided to head off to Laguna again to take advantage of this perfect weather. I decided to let Colt really get down and dirty in the sand, water and sludge! Here are those little fat toes meeting the cold sand! I held his hands and let him walk all over the hard sand, he did great since he was so interested in the squishy wet sand.

Sunny Day

It was a nice weekend for a BBQ, so we got together with some friends at a park and enjoyed the weather!

Tunnel Time

Target really is the greatest store EVER. I bought this really cool tunnel for Colt there for his Easter present, but I just couldn't wait until Easter. I am glad I didn't, he had so much fun exploring it!

I have a tent with tunnels that I haven't set up yet, that Colt got for Christmas from his Grandpa. When we move, I will be setting it up so he can really get his tunnel fix! He loves to crawl under things, if you're sitting with your legs up- he thinks it's awesome to crawl under them.
