Colt had another good day today. Not much to report. He had a good blood gas, good labs, and they were able to wean down to 6 on the rate he has (the breaths per minute) that the CPAP is delivering. They will get him down one more setting and then turn the rate off and just give pressure up the nose to keep the airway open. He was much calmer than yesterday so that was good. Not sure if the PICC line came out yet, last I checked the NP hadn't made his way over to write orders yet. I will call again when the unit reopens to see and update this if any changes occur. He did make it to full feeds today 18.5 ml every three hours. They started him on some reglan for acid reflux to help with the feedings.
UPDATE.....PICC line is out!!

Colt's strength never fails to amaze me...it must come from his parents, two of the most incredible people I know!! It's been so awesome to read about his amazing progress this week. So many new and exciting milestones!! Keep it up Colt...there are MANY people who are counting the days til you come home!! :)
